Recapturing the dream
We are victorious. We are seniors, we are the band, the football team, we are Salem High. I love my school. So much. At the annual pep rally, the crowed was fired up and ready to win. As the opening act, I brought the school into the mood by calling a good morning Salem high, to which they responded with cheers and shouts. Perhaps an airhorn too? Then it turned into a chant, a repetitive beat of my name from mainly the senior class. I was stunned, taken aback, proud, and a little embarrassed. I acknowledged the powederpuff players, and spoke to the school and reminded them that we are one. A family. The celebration continued flawlessly, I commend Emma, on a job well done. Seniors won Spirit week, which was a great way to being our senior year. I’m happy, they should be too. Perhaps, its the energy we took from the rally that led to our first winning season in a LONG time by beating the Beverly Panthers. 12-7 It was a great time. I must say over the powederpuff and the annual football classic matchup, I could not have been more proud of my class. A dream was granted. A great way to end, what will go down in history as one of the most impressive season in the past decade where we finally broke the losing season mark, and ended with a 6-5 season. Great stuff. Now that thats ended, we’ve moved back to a pretty much normal routine. Class, concert band, college apps. The usual. I’m doing a community band, where I actually just got back from a rehearsal. We’re playing all Christmas music, its really cool! However, this Friday is Cotillion! I’ll write more when it happens, not sure I’ll have a date. but hey, its about having fun right? I have to say its been a pretty good start to December. Hoping it stays this way. Oh man, its ten. I should get going. Peace out y’all!
